These beans are so good. Perfect for fall weather as it warms you up and gives that happy glow feeling while you're eating.
Oven Baked Beans
Ingredients:
- 1 cup apple butter
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. minced dried onion
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 (15 ounce) can Great Norther beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
Directions:
- Heat oven to 375F degrees. Mix all ingredients except beans in large bowl.
- Stir in beans. Pour into 2-quart baking dish or casserole dish.
- Bake 50-60 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
I had a helping of sweet cornbread on the side, but I bet some sliced salty ham would really play off the sweetness of these beans. I'm going to try it out next time I make these. And believe you me, there WILL be a next time ;)
